Global Health Impact Fund and Revere Partners Announce Joint Venture
GHIF & Revere Partners Announce a Collaboration
We’re excited to announce the launch of a new dental fund with Revere Partners. The venture is looking to seize the untapped potential in the rapidly growing dental market. With projected annual spending in dental care expected to exceed $430 billion across 32 OECD countries by 2030, and already at $136 billion in the U.S. market, the dental sector presents an enormous investment opportunity [1-2]. Despite its size, the industry remains underfunded in terms of venture capital, particularly compared to other areas of healthcare, where venture investment in oral health is just 0.86% of the total investment in overall healthcare [1]. This gap signals a prime opportunity to drive innovation and growth and we believe through our joint efforts, we are the winning team.

Dental and Oral Care
Though often sequestered off as its own field, oral health is inseparable from overall health. Most oral diseases tend to progress and worsen if untreated. When this happens, patients may find themselves treated in an emergency room for completely preventable issues. In 2018, there were more than 2 million dental-related emergency department visits, at a rate of 615.5 visits per 100,000 population 1. Finding innovative solutions is key for maturing the dental health market and marrying it with health care as a whole. Studies estimate that over $45 billion is lost in productivity in the United States each year because of untreated oral disease (Harvard Medical School). This is a growing market that is ripe for disruption, and emerging technologies and companies are being built every day to step in and offer solutions.
